Google and Unity Team Up on AI Game Creation Platform

Google and Unity announced a strategic partnership on October 7 to build an AI-powered game platform for next-generation interactive entertainment. The collaboration aims to combine Google's AI technology and user ecosystem with Unity's game development capabilities to lower the barrier to game creation.

Google said its experimental platform, Playground, is now live, allowing users to generate and customize playable games through natural language prompts without writing code. The companies plan to launch Unity Spark, an expanded creation product built on the platform, later in 2026, offering richer 3D development capabilities and professional-grade game-making tools.
