Helm.ai Signs $70M in Commercial Contracts, Extends Physical AI Platform to Robotics
On October 8, 2026, Helm.ai, a foundation-model software company for physical AI, announced that it has signed $70 million in commercial contracts over the past 12 months. Customers include global automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industrial automation companies. The company said it is on a path to operating breakeven.
Helm.ai's foundation models are trained using its proprietary unsupervised Deep Teaching methodology, allowing systems to learn the structure of the physical world while requiring a fraction of the data and compute used by conventional approaches. The company positions its platform as foundational infrastructure for physical AI, spanning vehicles, industrial equipment, and robotics.
Its software currently covers L2+ to L4 automotive development programs, production perception in heavy industry, and expanding robotics development, all built on a single model lineage and training stack.
“Capital efficiency isn't a constraint we manage, but a property of the technology,” said Vladislav Voroninski, founder and CEO of Helm.ai. “Autonomous driving is our first market at scale. The same intelligence is already going to work in robotics.”
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Redwood City, California, Helm.ai develops full-stack AI software for ADAS, autonomous driving, and robotics. The company expects to share additional announcements later in 2026.
