Chery Unveils Yaoguang 2035 Strategy with CheryMind Large Model
On October 28, Chery unveiled its Yaoguang 2035 strategy at the 2026 Global Innovation Conference. Chairman Yin Tongyue described the company as a high-tech innovator "wearing an automaker's disguise," with AI driving its transformation from a traditional carmaker into a high-tech industrial ecosystem defined by full-lifecycle electrification, highly coordinated intelligence, global brand building, deep internationalization, and open collaboration.
As part of the strategy, Chery introduced CheryMind, a vertical foundation large model built for physical AI, and its self-developed Ziwei chip family, including the Ziwei S1500 SiC chip with up to 99.6% efficiency and 200°C heat tolerance, and the Ziwei C100 edge chip designed for a 100B-parameter physical world model.
The company also showcased innovations under its "four freedoms" vision, including an eVTOL with a flight speed of 120 km/h, the Xunlong flash-charging system co-developed with CATL that adds 500 km of range in five minutes, the first commercially deployed AC V2G technology, and an electric smart agricultural machine with 74% lower energy costs.
In addition, Chery's Mojia Robotics launched Mobao, its first consumer-grade home companion humanoid robot, now open for global pre-orders. The robot is powered by the self-developed MoAgent embodied intelligence system, featuring a fast-slow dual-brain architecture that supports 16 parallel task chains with interruption response under 0.2 seconds. Mojia Robotics has sold over 3,000 units worldwide, covering more than 100 application scenarios across 60+ countries, with plans for 300 global experience centers.
