Kaos Launches Industrial World Model and Agent Matrix
On October 14, Kaos IOT Technology Co., Ltd., an industrial internet platform company affiliated with Haier, globally launched an industrial world model and a full-stack agent matrix to support the large-scale deployment of AI in industrial settings.
Yu Jinze, Kaos' director of data intelligence, said large general-purpose models are trained primarily on language and text and have never really been inside a factory. As a result, they often fail to interpret equipment signals and process mechanisms, making it difficult to ensure physical credibility. The company says the industrial world model is designed to understand real production constraints and generate executable, safe solutions.
Kaos' industrial AI foundation is the Tianzhi industrial large model. Since its launch in September 2023, it has been deployed and validated across interconnected factories and smart production lines operated by Kaos and its parent company Haier. To date, the model has accumulated more than 4,700 industrial mechanism models, over 200 expert algorithms and 110-plus agent development tools. It has been applied in more than 40 scenarios across nine industries, including home appliances, electronics, automobiles, energy and chemicals, and machinery and equipment. Kaos says it is China's first vertical large model built on an industrial internet platform.
For its agent matrix, Kaos has developed three types of “digital humans” — a CEO digital human, a plant manager digital human and an energy station digital human — corresponding to business decision-making, factory production scheduling, and energy and carbon management. Through the COSMO-iMOM twin manufacturing platform, the company says it has built more than 40 industrial agents covering high-value scenarios such as process optimization, equipment management, quality inspection and energy saving. It added that the CEO digital human can improve root-cause location speed by 65% and increase decision-chain efficiency by 70%, while a flexible production-switching agent can improve changeover efficiency by 30%.
