Hesai Launches Kosmo One AI Spatial Camera and Kosmo World Cloud Platform

By AI123

On October 14, Hesai Technology introduced the Kosmo One, describing it as the world's first 8K ultra-high-definition AI spatial camera. The camera is said to turn real-world scenes into high-quality 3D spatial models, making spatial modeling "as simple as taking a photo."

The Kosmo One features a 1-inch CMOS sensor, a maximum resolution of 8K, and 360-degree coverage. According to the company, it can reconstruct a 100-square-meter space in 15 minutes.

Hesai said the device can convert real-world scenes into robot training data for physical AI training, with additional applications in world models, film and media, cultural tourism, and digital art. The company also released Kosmo World, an AI-driven cloud platform designed for one-stop 3D content creation and management alongside the Kosmo One.

At the launch, Hesai announced a partnership with Amap, opening an initial batch of 1,000 pilot locations covering shopping malls, retail outlets, restaurants, hotels, and brand stores. Store interiors will be scanned and reconstructed into high-precision 3D spatial models, rather than traditional 2D floor plans.
