Scimplify, an Indian startup using AI to produce specialty chemicals and critical materials, has raised $25 million in an all-equity strategic round. Hitachi Ventures led the round, with customers Henkel and Teknor Apex joining as new investors. Existing backers Accel India, Bertelsmann India Investments, Omnivore, and 3one4 Capital also participated. The Bengaluru-based company is now valued at $250 million post-investment, up from $150 million after its $40 million Series B in March 2025. Total equity funding stands at $80 million.

The company, founded in 2023, develops chemical manufacturing processes at its research facilities in Bengaluru and Hyderabad before transferring them to partner factories. Its proprietary AI platform, Scinode, uses specialized AI agents for research, manufacturing and quality control to coordinate production routes and track compliance. Scimplify helps customers establish alternative sources for materials whose supply is concentrated in China.

Scimplify's U.S. annualized revenue run rate has grown to about $60 million from $10 million a year ago, and overall annualized revenue run rate is around $200 million. Energy, electronics and defense now account for roughly 45% to 50% of revenue. The company plans to deploy about $7.5 million of the new funds for U.S. expansion and $2 million for further development of Scinode.
