Amazon's Bee unveils first new devices since acquisition, starting at $75

By AI123

Bee, the personal AI device maker acquired by Amazon in 2025, has introduced its first new products since the deal: the Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse. The Frontier, priced at $74.99, can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. The Eclipse costs $99.99 and is a credit-card-sized device that magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone.

Both devices use AI to capture everyday conversations and turn them into summaries, to-dos, and insights. For example, after a discussion about plans with friends, the device can remember the agreed date and time and create a calendar invite. Users can also use it to take notes in class or record a care plan discussed with a doctor.

All Bee devices offer free conversation summaries and recaps with 14 days of memory. A Bee Pro subscription, at $11.99 per month, unlocks unlimited summaries, suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, and conversation templates, along with integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+, and third-party apps. Pro users can also ask Alexa hands-free for Bee insights, summaries, or to-dos, and connect tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook to draft emails and set up meetings.

For privacy, Bee uses a private computing architecture that does not store raw audio; audio is processed in real time and deleted. Transcripts are encrypted with keys created and controlled by the device, so no one else, including Amazon employees, can access them unless the user explicitly shares them. Users may optionally connect Bee to Alexa, using Voice ID to recognize when they are speaking and record conversations for Bee's insights.

The Bee Frontier is available now on Amazon, while the Eclipse is expected to follow shortly.
