Homa Raises $5M Seed Round to Expand AI Homebuying Platform
Homa, an AI-powered homebuying platform, has raised $5 million in seed funding in a round led by Quiet Capital, with participation from Restive Ventures and Cambrian Ventures. The company plans to use the proceeds to expand across California and introduce mortgage lending within its platform.
The company is now live statewide in California, adding to existing operations in Florida and Texas, and covering roughly 95 million Americans. Homa says it is an AI-driven homebuying platform and licensed brokerage that lets buyers search, tour, negotiate, close and secure a mortgage in one place.
Homa’s AI, trained on state-specific law, property data and real-estate coursework, generates pricing insights, disclosures, comparable listings, risk analysis and bargaining-power scores. On deals where sellers offer a buyer-broker commission of up to 3%, Homa keeps 1% and passes about 2% back to the buyer. The average credit has been more than $10,000, exceeding $40,000 on higher-priced homes.
The new mortgage feature enables buyers to shop for a loan inside Homa rather than being handed off to an outside lender. When the credit and loan are in the same file, the credit can fund a rate buydown that reduces the mortgage rate by up to 0.75%. The company said combining brokerage and lending also helps prevent delays caused by financing issues and coordination problems.
Homa was co-founded by CEO Arman Javaherian, a former senior director at Zillow, and Federico Campeotto, a computer scientist with a PhD in artificial intelligence. The company has operated in Florida since 2025, entered Texas in June 2026 and soft-launched in California on September 1, 2026. The funding will also support a mobile app planned for late 2026.
