VAST Open-Sources Real-Time World Model EdenLive and Game-Dev Skill EdenGolem
VAST announced on October 20, 2026 that it has open-sourced EdenLive, a real-time generative renderer in its Project Eden series, along with EdenGolem (v0.1), a programming-agent skill designed for game development.
EdenLive can generate interactive visuals in real time based on arbitrary references such as gray-box scenes, 2D/3D environments, or real video footage. Upstream interaction systems maintain game rules and state, while the model renders corresponding visuals from updated gray-box frames and scene descriptions. The reference determines structure, motion and camera, while the target first frame and text prompt define subject, material, art style and details. This enables long-duration game interaction, video style transfer and embodied-data augmentation.
According to the team, the EdenLive 5B model can generate 720P frames at over 24 FPS on a single RTX 5090 consumer GPU, supporting minute-level continuous generation. The open-source release includes 5B and 14B model weights (each with bidirectional and few-step streaming versions), real-time streaming inference code, EdenGolem v0.1 and a front-end workbench, along with a technical report.
EdenGolem is a skill for programming agents that takes a gameplay description and completes game design, scene construction, interaction logic and UI polish across four stages, producing a runnable 3D gray-box game. It currently supports puzzle, shooting, driving, adventure, arena and fighting genres.
The release follows VAST's Project Eden debut in May 2026 and marks a step toward real-time, continuous generative rendering.
