Meta Announces Up to $95B Capital Raise to Fund AI Expansion
Meta announced on October 26 that it plans to raise up to $95 billion through a multi-part financing initiative to support its core business and ongoing investments in artificial intelligence. The package includes $22.5 billion in forward sales of Class A common stock, $12.5 billion in mandatory convertible preferred stock, and up to $60 billion in potential at-the-market offerings of Class C common stock.
Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom have each expressed interest in purchasing up to $5 billion of Meta's Class A common stock. Meta said its AI investments have already generated tangible returns through increased user engagement, improved ad performance, and higher profitability.
The company expects capital expenditures to reach $135 billion to $145 billion in 2026, and plans to fund its AI investments through a combination of operating cash flow, investment-grade debt, strategic partnerships, and equity capital.
