Apple Rolls Out iOS 27.2 with Siri AI Memory and Context Upgrades
On October 27, 2026, Apple released the iOS/iPadOS 27.2 update (build 24B119) for iPhone and iPad users, focusing on enhanced Siri AI capabilities. The update introduces memory features, broader personal context awareness, and support for five additional languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Siri AI can now remember previous conversations, allowing users to ask questions like “Which restaurants did you recommend last week?” It also references more information sources, including photo attachments in Messages, calendar event participants, voicemail, and improved Safari history and Reading List results. A new unified setting lets users exclude specific apps from Siri, Search, and Suggestions, while fine-grained text selection allows copying parts of Siri's responses. However, Siri AI is not available in the EU and mainland China.
The update also includes a black-and-white Apple Music rebrand, shared photo album enhancements, FaceTime sign language interpretation, and Home app smart lock features.
