Cadence Rolls Out AI Models for EDA, Available for In-House Deployment

On Oct. 26, Cadence Design Systems introduced a series of AI models designed to assist in computer chip design, which chipmakers can run internally.

The release deepens Cadence's cooperation with Nvidia in the open-source model space and sets it apart from rival Synopsys, which recently reached an agreement with OpenAI.

Cadence is a major player in electronic design automation (EDA), and the new models target the chip design process.
