Ant Group Launches Lingguang 2.0 Agent for Persistent Task Management

By AI123

Ant Group released Lingguang 2.0 on October 27, positioning its AI assistant to move beyond responding to single instructions and toward proactively managing tasks on behalf of users.

The upgrade brings improvements in cross-session memory, long-horizon task scheduling, and tool connections. With a dedicated cloud host, Lingguang can continue running tasks after the user leaves the conversation and follow up based on new information, shifting from one-off execution to ongoing task management.

With user authorization, Lingguang can analyze Alipay billing records to spot forgotten auto-renewal subscriptions and suggest saving opportunities. It can monitor flight and hotel prices after booking and notify users of price drops, and it can process notifications in DingTalk class groups, extract to-dos, and format documents. Lingguang currently integrates services including Alipay, DingTalk, Feishu, email, and Mijia, and can call external tools such as MCP and CLI in open environments.

On security, Lingguang 2.0 is connected to Ant APASS, a unified account and security management infrastructure that brings identity authentication, intent security, and privacy protection into agent execution. Authorization keys are separated from agents, allowing tasks to run without the agent directly accessing keys, while users can view, adjust, or revoke permissions at any time.
