Huawei AI WAN New-Generation Solution Reaches Commercial Scale, Deployed by 60+ Operators
At the 12th Ultra-Broadband Forum (UBBF) held on October 27, 2026, Cai Jun, Vice President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, revealed that more than 60 operators worldwide have deployed the AI WAN solution across multiple mainstream markets. He also announced that Huawei's new-generation AI WAN wide-area network solution has achieved commercial scale, marking the industry's transition from technical verification to large-scale deployment.
Cai said Huawei has been enhancing its products and solutions in three dimensions: layered security, lossless computing efficiency, and network autonomy. Huawei has built a three-tier security architecture covering device, link, and service layers, and jointly released the world's first quantum-secured target network with a Macau operator. For lossless computing, Huawei upgraded the architecture, scheduling, and transmission to enable lossless wide-area computing transport with zero packet loss over thousands of kilometers. In terms of network autonomy, Huawei has achieved L4-level autonomous capabilities in fault management, network change, quality optimization, and security management, and has helped multiple operators reach L4-level network autonomy.
All capabilities of the new AI WAN solution have completed commercial validation. A Chinese operator deployed the solution to support a hospital's cloud-based medical large model, reducing computing costs by 30% and increasing dedicated line ARPU fivefold.
