Intel and Oracle Expand Cloud Partnership to Boost Enterprise AI Inference

By AI123

On October 27, local time, Intel and Oracle announced plans to expand their multi-year collaboration, delivering more Intel Xeon processor-based compute services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to support enterprise applications, AI agents, and inference workloads. The companies plan to cover both current and future Xeon platforms.

Oracle's upcoming OCI X14 offering is expected to be powered by Intel's next-generation server processor, codenamed "Diamond Rapids," which supports AI inference acceleration with precision formats including FP8, FP16, and BF16. Intel and Oracle also plan to align processor roadmaps and capacity planning to support OCI expansion and enterprise-scale AI deployments.
