Oracle Adds SambaNova SN50 RDU Chip to OCI Cloud for AI Inference
By AI123
SambaNova announced on October 27 that it is partnering with Oracle to bring its SN50 RDU AI inference chip to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Oracle has been assembling a diverse AI compute portfolio. In addition to chips from NVIDIA and AMD, it has enabled Positron's Atlas chips, is set to become the first external hyperscaler to offer Google TPUs, and plans to incorporate Cerebras wafer-scale chips. Intel's Xeon "Diamond Rapids" processors are also expected to support future OCI X14 offerings.
The addition of SambaNova's SN50 RDU expands the inference options available on OCI.
