Chrome's AI-powered Autofill to Pull Flight Numbers and More From Gmail

By AI123

Google announced on October 28, 2026, that Chrome will introduce an AI-powered enhanced autofill feature designed to help users fill out online forms more easily. The feature can extract suggestions from users' Gmail messages, including flight confirmation numbers, membership IDs, tracking information, order numbers, addresses, phone numbers, and credit card numbers.

The update is an expansion of Google's Personal Intelligence, which already allows users to connect Google apps to the Gemini AI assistant to retrieve details and answer complex questions. The new autofill capability brings that functionality directly into Chrome's form-filling experience.

As with other Personal Intelligence features, users can choose whether to enable enhanced autofill in Chrome settings. Google said sensitive data is encrypted. The rollout is underway for U.S. users on desktop Chrome, as well as in the iOS and Android apps for Gemini in Chrome.
