Apple Unveils First Touchscreen MacBook Pro With Dynamic Island and Siri AI

On October 29, 2026, Apple unveiled its first touchscreen MacBook Pro, available in 14-inch and 16-inch models. The new laptop introduces Dynamic Island to the Mac for the first time, integrating Live Activities, Spotlight search, and Siri AI into the area at the top of the screen.

The Dynamic Island on Mac supports answering calls, controlling music playback, and showing AirDrop requests, and also serves as an interaction point for Spotlight and Siri AI. Apple originally introduced Dynamic Island with the iPhone 14 Pro series in September 2022, replacing the notch with a smaller camera cutout and a software interface for displaying Live Activities, music playback, timers, and other controls.

The new MacBook Pro still features Touch ID and includes a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera.
