Westlake Robotics released its general-purpose brain WR1, which uses a dual-pretraining architecture for end-to-end cognitive decision-making and whole-body motion control. The robot demonstrated long-horizon household tasks such as object retrieval, U-turn walking, squatting and tidying, and quilt arranging, and for the first time publicly showed a humanoid robot folding clothes with dexterous hands. A robotic arm platform using WR1 had previously folded clothes in as fast as 36 seconds with a 100% success rate.
