At MIREX 2026, NetEase Cloud Music's music evaluation model CloudEar took first place in the music evaluation track with 73.9% accuracy, setting a world record for the track and beating teams including Georgia Tech, KAIST and Sony AI as well as the official baseline model.
Universal Music Group and ElevenLabs have announced a multi-year licensing agreement and strategic collaboration to launch an AI-powered music creation platform based on licensed music from UMG artists. The platform is still in development with no release date announced, and will mainly target music fans making remixes and mashups, while new AI audio products for artists are also planned.
