PAL Robotics

PAL RoboticsREEM-C is PAL Robotics' first bipedal humanoid research robot (a Legacy Hall of Fame model, introduced in 2013), built for integrated navigation, vision and AI research. Standing 165 cm tall and weighing 80 kg with 68 degrees of freedom across the body, it performs a rich repertoire of human-like motion; stable walking speed reaches 2.5 km/h and it can climb stairs and sit on chairs. Hand payload is 1 kg (arm extended); battery life is 3 hours walking and 6 hours on standby, with torque sensors at the ankles and wrists. Walking, grasping, whole-body control and text-to-speech skills are available out of the box; the system runs Linux/Ubuntu/ROS and the simulation model is open-sourced on the ROS Wiki, with optional advanced packages for whole-body control, navigation, HRI and teleoperation.
