NVIDIA Partners with Australian Firms to Build Up to 2GW AI Factories by 2027
NVIDIA announced on September 9 that it will collaborate with Australian NVIDIA cloud partners and its AI infrastructure partner ecosystem to expand land, power, and data center space for deploying multi-generation AI factories.
Partners including Firmus, Sharon AI, IREN, ResetData, Megaport, CDC, NEXTDC, and AirTrunk will adopt the NVIDIA DSX architecture, aiming to build up to 2GW of data center AI factories by 2027. Raj Mirpuri, NVIDIA's vice president of worldwide AI cloud and infrastructure ecosystem, said AI factories convert energy into intelligence, which is an essential resource for the AI economy.
NVIDIA DSX is described as a full-stack platform compatible with the CUDA ecosystem, continuously strengthened through software over the infrastructure lifecycle, enabling AI factories with higher productivity, replaceability, and durability as a new investable asset class. Through this cooperation, the infrastructure will support multiple generations of NVIDIA computing technology while expanding local access to accelerated computing and NVIDIA Nemotron open models, helping Australian innovators build AI locally.
