Trump: AI Will Be the Strongest Economic Engine in History, Doomsday Claims Are Scams
Trump said in a post that he has never seen leading industry players proactively call for regulation, and that strict enforcement of such rules could make companies vanish or go bankrupt. He dismissed claims that artificial intelligence will take over the world or destroy humanity as scams, comparing them to repeatedly hyped Russia-Ukraine issues, the two impeachment hoaxes, and various frauds he said the U.S. faced due to saboteurs.
Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Google's plan to build a large factory in Finland, saying the company chose the site because of difficulty obtaining building permits in the U.S. He said he hopes Google will change its plan.
He argued that AI and data centers will become the strongest economic engine in history, surpassing oil, gold, diamonds, and even the internet. He said the industry would not be stopped during his presidency by forces intent on sabotage.
