By AI123

Crusoe announced on September 17 the appointment of three new board members: Thomas Seifert, CFO of Cloudflare; Bill Stein, partner and CIO at Primary Digital Infrastructure; and JB Straubel, founder and CEO of Redwood Materials and a member of Tesla's board of directors.

Straubel already had ties to Crusoe, having personally invested in the company in 2021. Crusoe later became the first customer of Redwood's energy storage business.

Crusoe is an AI data center developer that recently raised $3.9 billion at a $30.9 billion valuation to finance large data center projects and modular AI factories. Founded in 2018 as a crypto mining operation, the company pivoted to AI infrastructure and counts Meta, Microsoft, and Oracle among its customers.
