Shurui Robotics' Single-Port Surgical Robot Wins UniHA Framework Agreement in France
Shurui Robotics, a Chinese surgical robot developer, announced that its snake-arm single-port surgical robot has won the framework procurement agreement of UniHA (Union des Hopitaux pour les Achats), France's largest public medical procurement group, through an open bidding process. The contract has been signed, officially placing the company in the core procurement catalog of the French public hospital system. French public hospitals can now directly purchase the robot through the framework agreement without repeated bidding procedures.
UniHA is a core purchasing alliance in the French public healthcare system, serving more than 1,500 public hospitals and over 120 regional hospital groups, with an annual procurement volume exceeding 7.7 billion euros. The successful bid grants Shurui access to the official list of government-recognized suppliers, streamlining its commercialization in France.
The company's snake-arm technology enables complex multi-specialty surgeries through a single incision as small as 1.8 cm, and it holds the world's only CE certification for pediatric single-port surgical robots. Shurui has previously entered Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona and a major public hospital in Munich, making this new contract another step in its global expansion.
