Alibaba's Qwen Intelligence to Debut on Honor Magic9 Series and Robot Phone
At the 2026 Apsara Conference, Alibaba announced that the upcoming Honor Magic9 series, scheduled for release on September 28, 2026, will be among the first official smartphones to feature Qwen Intelligence, Alibaba's AI phone solution. The Honor Robot Phone, described as the world's first robot phone, will also support the solution.
The two companies said they jointly developed a vertical-domain model and solution based on Qwen Intelligence and Honor MagicOS, aimed at enhancing on-device agent capabilities and shifting phones from passive response to proactive service. The solution reportedly achieves a comprehensive task accuracy of 91.8%, a GUI operation speed of 3.6 seconds, support for over 100 steps in complex long-horizon tasks, and an end-to-end service completion rate exceeding 90%.
The Honor Robot Phone features a titanium alloy gimbal system, giving the device robotic-level mechanical freedom. The system integrates more than 100 precision components, applies over 60 precision processes, and involves more than 100 self-developed patents. With support for Qwen Intelligence, the device combines AI capabilities with mechanical interaction.
