Nebius AI Cloud introduces dynamic bidding for preemptible VMs

By AI123

On September 23, cloud computing provider Nebius AI Cloud announced the launch of a dynamic bidding pricing mechanism for its preemptible virtual machines (PVMs), which are cost-effective compute instances built on idle data center capacity.

The mechanism uses algorithms to detect data center idle capacity and user demand in real time, automatically adjusting GPU hourly rates. Nebius said the configuration tools and interface for dynamic bidding are now fully available. The new pricing mechanism is expected to take effect on October 8.
