SK Group Chairman Sees Rapid Global Chip Demand Growth, Plans Swift Fab Construction

On October 9, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won said global chip demand is expected to continue growing rapidly. Citing sufficient electricity and water resources, the group plans to complete its chip manufacturing plant as soon as possible to meet market demand.

SK Group is a major South Korean conglomerate whose affiliate SK Hynix is a globally renowned semiconductor memory manufacturer.
