Odyssey Unveils Odyssey-3 Foundation World Models; Pro Sets Record on Physics-IQ Verified Benchmark
Odyssey released the Odyssey-3 series of foundation world models on October 8, 2026, offering Standard and Pro editions. The Pro edition scored 66.1 on the Physics-IQ Verified video-to-video benchmark, setting a new record, and ranked first across all three environment categories in WorldMark evaluation: first-person stylized, third-person realistic, and third-person stylized, with scores of 77.2, 79.0, and 76.3.
Foundation world models are general-purpose AI models that learn physics, dynamics, and causal relationships from large amounts of visual observations. They can predict how objects move and interact and how scenes evolve over time, and can be used to simulate environments or train control policies for robots, vehicles, and other systems. Physics-IQ Verified, developed by Anates Labs and DeepMind, asks models to continue real physics experiment videos and compares predictions against actual results, covering fluid dynamics, optics, solid mechanics, magnetism, and thermodynamics.
Odyssey-3 uses an autoregressive diffusion transformer architecture to generate embodied environments from prompts. When users move the viewpoint, take actions, or introduce events during generation, the model combines prior observations with the latest input to predict how the environment will change in real time. The preview supports first-person and third-person navigation, as well as independent camera movement. The standard edition balances physical accuracy with generation cost, while the Pro edition offers stronger physical prediction capability.
