Amazon in Talks to Buy AI Startup Decart for $7 Billion

Amazon is in talks to acquire Decart, an artificial intelligence startup, at a valuation of roughly $7 billion, according to people familiar with the matter cited by The Wall Street Journal on Oct. 11. The deal could close soon if negotiations do not fall through.

Founded in 2023 by three Israeli engineers, Decart develops software that helps chips run more efficiently, cutting the cost of AI training and running.

Bloomberg earlier reported that Anthropic had held talks to acquire Decart for about $6 billion in September and completed due diligence before walking away.
