Humanoid Robot Maker Zhiyuan Innovation Launches Funding Round at RMB 50 Billion Valuation
Zhiyuan Innovation, a Chinese embodied AI robotics company, has recently launched a new funding round of approximately RMB 1 billion to RMB 1.5 billion, which is nearing completion, according to a report by Caijing on October 13. The company is valued at around RMB 50 billion in the round.
Because of Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules requiring a 120-day waiting period after a new financing round before a listing can proceed, the company will not be able to complete its IPO this year, investors said.
Founded in 2023, Zhiyuan focuses on embodied AI and general-purpose robotics. On September 24, the company announced the production of its 20,000th robot, setting a global mass-production record. According to Counterpoint Research, global humanoid robot shipments exceeded 22,000 units in the first half of 2026, up nearly 300% year-on-year. Zhiyuan's AGIBOT ranked first with 9,700 units shipped, holding a market share of over 43%.
