Zenzap raises $44M for AI-powered workplace messaging
Zenzap has raised $44 million in funding from Bessemer, Lightspeed and The Garage, along with individual investors including Wix President Nir Zohar and former EY executive Yoram Tietz.
Founded in 2022 by Guy Weiss, Zenzap provides an AI-powered private messaging app designed for workplace communication. It helps businesses stay compliant with IT and security policies while allowing employees to access organizational context. The company was initially bootstrapped by Weiss before Bessemer partner Adam Fisher convinced him to take venture capital to scale.
The free tier includes group chats, direct messages, task management, calendar and schedule management, as well as AI-powered voice chat and search. Paid plans start at $51 per month for up to 20 users, unlocking voice and video calls, smart task sorting, task templates, higher file storage limits, AI search across workspaces, and message-to-task conversion. Zenzap also offers AI agents for workflow automation and AI-assisted voice note and call transcription through a credit-based system.
Current clients include FedEx, Dollar General, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Casey's and Regal. The startup has 50 employees across the U.S., Tel Aviv and Europe, and plans to hire in product and R&D teams.
