CloudMinds and Taobao Flash Shopping Partner to Deploy Delivery Robots for Building-to-Door Service

On October 15, 2026, CloudMinds and Taobao Flash Shopping signed a strategic cooperation agreement to advance the large-scale application of food delivery robots in enclosed scenarios such as apartment buildings and hotels. The collaboration covers product development, operations and promotion, and technical integration, with apartment buildings as the priority scenario and hotels as a supporting one.

Under the partnership, delivery riders will drop off orders at lobby handover points, and CloudMinds' service robots will handle the final in-building delivery, including order pickup, elevator coordination, and user notifications. The company's UP platform and HDOS system are expected to support multi-robot scheduling, elevator coordination, and access control interaction, capabilities that have been developed in hotel environments over several years.

The deal signals that delivery robots are being integrated as last-mile nodes in Taobao Flash Shopping's fulfillment network, rather than simply being procured as standalone devices. For CloudMinds, the business model is expected to extend beyond hardware supply to operation-based delivery services tied to platform order volumes and building coverage.

Taobao Flash Shopping said it will open up scenario demands and instant logistics capabilities to jointly promote multi-scenario robot deployment and improve delivery efficiency and user experience. Specific cities and initial deployment scale were not disclosed.
