Runjian Signs $200M Cross-Border AI Inference Service Agreement

By AI123

Runjian, a Chinese company focused on telecom network management and maintenance that has expanded into computing power services, disclosed on the evening of October 18 that it had signed a one-year cross-border AI service agreement worth $200 million (about RMB 1.338 billion).

Under the agreement, an overseas customer will call large-model inference services through an API, with the associated computing resources deployed in intelligent computing centers in China. The contract uses usage-based, post-paid billing with monthly settlement and includes a minimum purchase guarantee: if the customer’s actual Token service fees fall below $200 million during the contract year, the shortfall must be paid as agreed.

The amount equals about 35.6% of Runjian’s first-half 2026 revenue of RMB 3.756 billion. The service will be delivered by Wuxiang Yungu via API. Runjian noted that Token-related business requires substantial capital, technical capability and customer development, and faces intense competition as well as uncertainty in future order acquisition and large-scale commercialization.
