Nvidia's DSX AI Factory Platform Adopted by European Cloud Providers, Cutting Cooling Water to Near Zero

On October 21, Nvidia announced that multiple European cloud service providers and infrastructure companies are adopting its DSX AI factory platform to reduce cooling water and power consumption in data centers while accelerating deployment of compute infrastructure.

The platform uses closed-loop liquid cooling and dry coolers for heat rejection, reducing facility cooling water use to near zero. Nvidia said that at a 2-gigawatt scale, the design could save 54 million liters of water per day, equivalent to the daily water use of 180,000 households. The DSX MaxLPS software can also cut power consumption by up to 30% when generating the same number of AI tokens.
