Transsion Holdings has joined the Series A funding round of Today AI, a personal AI assistant startup, and the two companies plan to explore integrating personal AI assistants with smart devices. According to Today AI, the company has raised over $200 million in total, with investors including IDG Capital, Tencent, 5Y Capital, Ant Group, HongShan, Transsion, and others.

Today AI is one of the earliest teams in China exploring the personal AI assistant direction, building personalized and proactive AI systems. The company launched an overseas public beta in September 2026 and released its domestic version on September 24. With user authorization, the assistant can connect to emails, calendars and other information, understand schedules, preferences and goals, and carry out tasks after user confirmation.

For Transsion, the investment continues its exploration in AI assistants and smart devices. The two parties plan to combine their strengths in software, hardware and localization to explore applications of personal AI assistants on phones and other smart devices.
