Goldman Sachs Pledges $500M for Small-Business AI Institute, Partners with OpenAI and Google

Goldman Sachs announced on October 22, 2026, a $500 million commitment to establish a small-business AI institute and expand its "10,000 Small Businesses" program, aiming to support an additional 10,000 companies with education, financing access, and other services.

The institute will collaborate with Anthropic, Google, Meta, and OpenAI to help U.S. small businesses integrate AI into daily operations. Under the initiative, Goldman Sachs will work with OpenAI to offer customized AI training for businesses covered by community college partners, and with Google to provide AI professional certificate courses to nearly 20,000 small-business owners and employees, along with three months of free Google AI Pro access.

Goldman Sachs said the program is designed to help small businesses improve their AI capabilities and scale their operations.
