Fortell, an AI hearing aid startup, recently raised $163 million from investors including Founders Fund and Thrive Capital. The company aims to develop hearing aids that understand ambient sounds in real time and intelligently reduce noise, challenging an industry monopoly in which five companies control 97% of the market.
