On October 14, at MIPCOM in Cannes, Huace officially released the trailer for "Journey to the West: The Lost 500 Years," a fully AI-generated 3D animated series. Developed by Huace as part of its strategic partnership with Utopai Studios, the AIGC-driven premium series will have six 15-minute episodes, is expected to premiere in 2027, and may later explore a theatrical release.
Utopai, an AI-native film studio, took the opening keynote stage at MIPCOM, sharing its view that AI-native studios are moving from concept to delivery, and that a new production system built around original IP, human creativity, and proprietary film infrastructure will redefine content creation and global distribution. During the keynote, it also revealed progressing cooperation with CJ ENM Studios, and mentioned Antonio Banderas starring in the AI-assisted theatrical film "Cortés," Utopai X's ranking in evaluations, PAI platform revenue, and plans for three theatrical films in 2027.
