Apple has acquired Samplab, an AI audio editing company based in Zurich, Switzerland, and will acquire part of its assets and offer jobs to some employees. Founded in 2020 with fewer than 10 staff, Samplab positioned itself as an AI-era music production company; its software could modify any note in audio, identify and edit chords, and perform detailed track separation. Apple is expected to integrate the technology into Logic Pro and other creative software.
