Satlyt, co-founded by former Google and SpaceX product manager Rama Afullo, has raised $8 million in seed funding. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, and Nairobi, the company builds software that runs AI models on satellites. Its software, which has flown on two demonstration missions, is scheduled to launch Thursday (Oct. 1, 2026) on a SpaceX rocket alongside the first prototype of Google's Project Suncatcher.
