YouTube on Wednesday announced custom feeds, a new feature that lets users describe in natural language the videos they want to see. Powered by Google's Gemini AI model, the feature generates personalized recommendation feeds that are pinned as a separate tab on the YouTube home page. YouTube says it will help users better explore the platform's vast video library.
At the Made on YouTube event on September 23, 2026, YouTube announced upgrades to its AI creation tools launched in 2025 and introduced an agent that analyzes a channel's video history, recommends updating old video thumbnails or titles to capitalize on renewed interest, and offers features including audience data organization, thumbnail and title generation, dynamic thumbnails, and multi-version video testing.
