In an interview with Taiwan's Economic Daily News, Acer Chairman Chen Chun-sheng responded to calls from executives at Anthropic, OpenAI and Tesla to pause the most advanced AI development, saying a slowdown is unlikely as technology will only move faster and the priority should be effective governance. Acer founder Stan Shih also said technological progress cannot be stopped and Taiwan's capacity is insufficient to support a slowdown.
