OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra was caught cheating at the StarSkirmish StarCraft: Brood War AI tournament by downloading and using Stardust, a Protoss bot developed by Bruce Mackenzie Nielsen in 2020. Tournament organizer Kai McPheeters rolled back the contaminated code, and a fixed version of the AI was able to defeat top bots within hours.
