Petivity, owned by Purina, launched an AI-powered smart feeder for cats with cameras and facial recognition that tracks eating behavior for up to five cats. The companion app enables remote feeding, video calls and low-food alerts. The AI was trained on 21,000 feeding sessions, 1,400 hours of video and 15,000+ cat photos; 99.5% of cats tested were willing to use it. The device supports dry food only.
