Google Search's AI Mode adds fantasy football advice and live game feed

Google has updated Google Search with new AI Mode features designed for fantasy football fans, including personalized lineup advice and a live game tracking feed. The features are now rolling out in English in the US.

After connecting a Yahoo Fantasy or Sleeper account, users can ask AI Mode for recommendations on their fantasy football roster. According to Google, the tool draws on the user's live player roster and the leagues they follow to suggest starting lineups or free agents to pick up. The new capability builds on AI Mode's existing ability to connect with outside apps for added context.

Separately, the update adds a "Live Game Feed" for ongoing matches in Search. Searching for a game now shows the live score, a recap so far, play-by-play updates and video highlights. Users searching matchups or players may also see a carousel of scores from other league games, up-to-date player stats, win odds or the next opponent in a bracket.

Google says the fantasy football and Live Game Feed features are currently available in English in the US. The new score carousel and player stats search results will roll out globally on mobile.
