Faraday Future Pivots to Robotaxi Network and Smart Cabin Technology Operator
On September 29, Faraday Future (FF) announced a strategic upgrade of its automotive business, transforming from an EAI automaker into a Robotaxi shared network and smart cabin technology operator, partnering with Roboshare to promote car sharing in a lighter-asset model.
Under the plan, FF will connect to the Cybercab network, explore deploying its "Third AI Space" smart cabin technology to other intelligent vehicles, and bring its own models into the Robotaxi network. FF said it will leverage Roboshare's sharing platform and operational capabilities to expand opportunities in vehicle asset access, operations, and user services.
Alongside the automotive upgrade, FF will build a more complete industrial ecosystem around Physical AI, expanding supply chain investments, business incubation, and investment holding capabilities, gradually forming a model combining industrial operations, capital investment, and ecosystem synergy.
Separately, FF's robotics business is planned to be merged into Nasdaq-listed AIxC (to be renamed FFR) at a $200 million valuation for an independent listing, targeting to become the first pure-play EAI robot ecosystem stock in the U.S. Upon completion, FF will become the largest controlling shareholder of AIxC.
