Sharetronic Data Signs Five-Year AI Cloud Computing Contract Valued at Up to $5.6 Billion
On Oct. 19, Sharetronic Data Technology, a Chinese AI infrastructure company, announced that its subsidiary Xiechuang Intelligent Computing Technology (Shenzhen) has signed a five-year contract to provide AI cloud computing services to an unidentified client. The deal has a potential value of up to CNY37.5 billion (USD5.6 billion), with an option to extend for another five years.
According to the announcement, the computing facilities covered by the agreement must be inspected and accepted by the client before they can be formally commissioned and service fees start accruing. The client will pay monthly service fees. The company did not disclose further details, citing commercial confidentiality and concerns over unfair competition or potential breach of contract.
Sharetronic Data said the transaction is expected to positively affect its future operating performance, strengthen its core competitiveness and market influence, and support the upgrading of its computing business. However, it also cautioned that substantial upfront investments in hardware, including servers, will be required before fulfilling the agreement, which could affect future net profit.
Shares of the company fell 7.1% to CNY201.30 on Oct. 20 in Shenzhen, though they remain up 67% since the end of 2025. Intelligent computing services are one of its four main business segments. In the first half of 2026, revenue from this business surged 163% year on year to CNY3.2 billion, accounting for 26% of total revenue. The company provides integrated computing infrastructure solutions to major domestic internet companies, AI model developers, and large telecom operators.
