NVIDIA Unveils SimReady Central Library, an Open 3D Asset Hub for Physical AI and AI Factory Twins
On October 21, NVIDIA announced the launch of SimReady Central Library, a collection of more than 2,000 simulation-ready OpenUSD assets hosted on Hugging Face. The library is designed as a free, ungated starting point for physical AI training environments and AI factory digital twins.
SimReady assets are 3D models pre-prepared with simulation properties such as collision geometry, mass, and friction, reducing manual setup work for developers. The library includes robot arms, grippers, warehouse equipment, racks, cooling infrastructure, and other assets. Developers can inspect each asset's supported capabilities and combine assets from different suppliers into a single scene.
Equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can validate their assets against SimReady requirements and distribute them through the library to reach developers and accelerate customer testing and simulation. Participating companies include Vertiv, Comau, FANUC, Franka Robotics, Robotiq, Standard Bots, Universal Robots, and LG Electronics.
The library is powered by NVIDIA USD Search for natural-language asset discovery, and Hugging Face has integrated USD Search into its platform. Developers can also use frontier models such as OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra for AI-assisted scene authoring, including building robotic pick-and-place scenarios or comparing AI factory layouts.
NVIDIA said the SimReady Central roadmap includes more OEM partners and continued asset library growth. Assets are freely accessible via Hugging Face, and community feedback will help shape future additions.
