Chery's Moga Robotics launches Mobao, its first consumer humanoid robot for family companionship

By AI123

On October 21, 2026, Moga Robotics, a Chery Group subsidiary, held its global launch event in Wuhu, Anhui, unveiling its first consumer-grade family companion humanoid robot, Mobao, and opening global pre-orders.

Mobao stands 0.9 meters tall, features rounded curves and soft materials, and has 22 degrees of freedom enabling walking and body expression. It offers object recognition Q&A, storytelling, English interaction for children, daily chat and scheduled reminders for seniors, supporting more than 20 languages. The robot leverages family member recognition and long-term memory to sustain conversations.

The robot's architecture includes a spatial perception layer for environment understanding, an interaction layer for language and gestures, an execution layer for body movement, and a decision and cognition layer for task scheduling and memory, forming a closed loop of perception, decision, execution and feedback. Memory is managed in layers for facts, experiences and episodic memory, with FaceID linking user identities to restrict personal memory access. MogaCloud enables task delivery and OTA updates, while qualified data is anonymized and security-checked on-device before cloud-based learning and validation.

Zhang Guibing, general manager of Moga Robotics, said at the event that the company has sold over 3,000 units globally, covering more than 100 application scenarios, with products and services available in over 60 countries and regions.
